From my recent stay at Bay Area Recovery Center between May 1st and 31st if 2019, I cannot recommend this facility to any one. This is an over populated understaffed residential treatment center. The residential support staff are all in recovery and barely have any more time than the patients that are just entering the program (1-2 years)
The facility was good, and so were my interactions with their staff. Everything was pretty much what I needed. If I needed other stuff, I would just ask them and they would be willing to help me out.
My experience with them was long but it was worth it.
Everyone was courteous, respectful, very concerned, and wanted to help. They are incredible in Bracebridge. With whatever they did, they tried their very best to give me a solid foundation and they recommend a lot of programs and outpatient treatment for one trying to succeed in recovery.
One thing I particularly liked was a lot of the staff there were in recovery themselves, so I could relate to them more. They let me know that there’s a friendlier side to being in that situation, and now I’m not ashamed of it.
